Lucas Giolito is set to make his first official appearance with the Red Sox after being reinstated from the 15-day injured list, as announced by manager Alex Cora. Giolito, who signed a two-year, $38.5MM deal in January 2024, faced setbacks due to a partial UCL tear and a hamstring strain that delayed his return; however, he completed a minor league rehab assignment. With Giolito’s return, Boston’s rotation strengthens alongside Brayan Bello, forming a starting five that includes Garrett Crochet, Walker Buehler, and Tanner Houck, while Sean Newcomb may transition to a depth role or bullpen.
