The Chicago Cubs decided against trading for then-Miami Marlins pitcher Jesús Luzardo after concerns regarding his back and elbow emerged from his medical records, according to sources. The Marlins subsequently traded Luzardo to the Philadelphia Phillies, along with minor-league catcher/outfielder Paul McIntosh, in exchange for prospects Starlyn Caba and Emaarion Boyd.
