ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Texans are re-signing tight end Irv Smith Jr. to a one-year contract for the 2025 season. Smith, a former second-round pick by the Vikings in 2019, has had a tumultuous career, including a stint with the Bengals and a brief time with the Chiefs before joining Houston’s practice squad last season. In 2024, he played in five games for the Texans, making one start but did not record any catches.
