Former Patriots TE Don Hasselbeck dies of cardiac arrest at 70


Former NFL tight end Don Hasselbeck passed away from a heart attack at the age of 70, as announced by his son, Matt Hasselbeck, on social media. Don was an All-American at Colorado and a Super Bowl Champion with the Raiders, remembered for his leadership and devotion to his family, including his wife Betsy of 50 years. He was drafted by the Patriots in 1977, played seven seasons with them, and ended his career with the Vikings and Giants, recording 107 receptions for 1,542 yards and 18 touchdowns; his sons, Matt and Tim, also played in the NFL.
