Australian international Grace Harris has signed with Surrey to play in the women’s Vitality Blast, becoming the team’s first overseas player in the new professional era of women’s county cricket in England and Wales. Known for her big-hitting and off spin skills, Harris has represented Brisbane Heat, UP Warriorz, and London Spirit in various franchise tournaments, as well as playing a key role in Australia’s recent T20I series win over England. Surrey’s Director of Women’s Cricket, Emma Calvert, expressed excitement over Harris joining the team, highlighting her international and franchise experience, and noting that Surrey will compete in the top league of the women’s Vitality Blast alongside seven other Tier One counties, with the top three advancing to Finals Day at the Kia Oval on July 27.
