Chicago Bulls fans were surprised to see their six championship banners missing from the team’s games this week, as they were removed due to “minor damage” sustained during a concert featuring hard rock acts Disturbed, Three Days Grace, and Sevendust. The banners, dating back to the Bulls’ championships in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, and 1998, are reportedly out for the season and will not be back in place until next season, as the damage was significant enough to extend past the NBA regular season in April. The United Center is working with the Bulls to explore options for repair, with hopes of having the banners ready in time for next season.
