The San Antonio Spurs lost star player Victor Wembanyama last month to injury, and now guard De’Aaron Fox will undergo season-ending surgery for tendon damage in his left pinkie. Fox, who was acquired at the trade deadline, has been dealing with the injury since training camp and the decision to have surgery is to expedite his rehab and have him ready for the offseason. With both Wembanyama and Fox out, the Spurs are focused on losing games to potentially improve their draft position rather than making a push for the play-in tournament.
