Jerry Coleman
Jerry Coleman, born September 14, 1924, was a notable New York Yankees infielder from 1949 to 1957, winning four World Series titles and earning Rookie of the Year honors. His baseball career was interrupted by military service in the Korean War, where he flew 63 combat missions. After retiring as a player, he became a beloved broadcaster, known for his catchphrases, and received the Ford C. Frick Award in 2005.
