The Los Angeles Lakers have hired Eric Amsler, a former Miami Heat executive with extensive scouting experience, as their assistant general manager. Amsler previously served as the vice president of player personnel for the Heat. This appointment is part of Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka’s initiative to enhance the front office, following the recent hiring of Rohan Ramadas as another assistant general manager. The Lakers are also undergoing an organizational transition with new ownership led by Josh Kushner and Bob Iger.
