As NHL training camps approach in September, teams are signing players to professional tryouts (PTOs), though the Montreal Canadiens have yet to invite any free agents. One potential candidate is Michael Bunting, who could provide much-needed wing depth for the team. Last season, Bunting recorded 14 goals and 33 points over 74 games with the Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars. If he performs well on a PTO, he could secure a contract and bolster Montreal’s bottom six forward group.
