The San Francisco 49ers have waived tight end Brayden Willis and promoted long snapper Jon Weeks. Willis, a 26-year-old who played at Oklahoma and was drafted in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, signed a four-year rookie contract. He has frequently moved between the active roster and practice squad, recording six tackles in six games during the 2025 season. Weeks’ promotion corresponds with Willis’ release as the team adjusts its roster.
