Nick Morabito was recalled to the Mets as expanded September rosters began, joining fellow rookies Carson Benge and A.J. Ewing in the outfield. In a 6-2 loss to the Rays, Morabito went 0-for-1 and was hit by a pitch, adding to his earlier struggles this season. With Luis Robert Jr. recently claimed off waivers, Morabito sees an opportunity to contribute defensively and on the bases, mirroring the success of his teammates. Interim manager Andy Green emphasizes the importance of Morabito playing confidently to develop his skills further.
