Roster moves
The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated OF Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and LHP Blake Walston while transferring RHP Ryan Thompson to the 60-day injured list. Gurriel returns after an unimpressive rehab stint, and Walston provides a left-handed option after a lengthy recovery from Tommy John surgery. Thompson’s move likely ends his time with Arizona after four seasons. The D-backs’ active roster now stands at 28.
