The Atlanta Falcons are in discussions to secure a new contract for recently acquired defensive tackle Gervon Dexter, as reported by Josh Kendall of The Athletic. Atlanta traded a fifth-round pick in 2027 and cornerback Clark Phillips to the Chicago Bears to obtain Dexter, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2026. Dexter, the 53rd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, recorded 44 tackles and six sacks during the 2025 season. He is set to earn a base salary of $1,591,872 this year.
