Columbus Blue Jackets winger Adam Fantilli has yet to secure a contract for the 2026-27 season, with training camp starting on September 16th. General manager Don Waddell is optimistic about reaching a deal, despite some differences in negotiation, as Fantilli’s asking price may begin around $13-$14MM following record contracts for his 2023 draft peers. The Blue Jackets, however, have limited cap space and may only afford up to $12.5MM. Fantilli, who has shown potential with consistent scoring, could become Columbus’ highest-paid player if a deal is reached.
