Freddy Peralta was acquired by the Tampa Bay Rays before the Aug. 3 trade deadline to strengthen their rotation but has struggled in four starts, going 0-2 with a 7.17 ERA over 21.1 innings. Previously with the New York Mets, he had a 5-9 record and a 4.99 ERA. Although he pitched six innings in his second start for the Rays, he is still seeking his first win and has faced durability concerns. Fans have dubbed him “five inning Freddy” due to his inconsistent performance.
