This season, several New York Yankees have exceeded expectations, notably Cam Schlittler, who remains a top contender for the AL Cy Young despite minor fluctuations in performance. Ben Rice started strong but has since declined, while Ryan Weathers and rookies George Lombard Jr. and Spencer Jones have also made positive strides. Other players like David Bednar and Gerrit Cole have solidified their roles, enhancing the team’s overall dynamics. As the season approaches its conclusion, fans are encouraged to reflect on which players have surprised them the most.
