Corinthians have officially appointed Fernando Diniz as their new head coach, replacing Dorival Júnior. Diniz, 52, has signed a contract until the end of the season and will make his debut on Thursday against Platense in the Libertadores Group E. The team currently sits 16th in the Brasileirão with ten points, following nine consecutive winless matches. Diniz returns to Corinthians after a managerial career that includes multiple clubs, having previously played for them in the late 1990s.
