The Los Angeles Rams are considering bringing back Jimmy Garoppolo as their backup quarterback following Kirk Cousins’ signing with the Raiders. Rams head coach Sean McVay expressed a preference for either Cousins or Garoppolo to support Matthew Stafford. Garoppolo, a former second-round pick, played one game for the Rams in 2024, completing 65.9% of his passes for 334 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. His previous contracts include a five-year deal with the 49ers and a three-year agreement with the Raiders before joining the Rams.
