Former Jets running back Michael Carter has signed with the Tennessee Titans, reuniting him with coach Robert Saleh. Carter, who previously played three seasons with the Jets before joining the Arizona Cardinals, will compete for playing time against Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears. During his Jets tenure, he recorded 1,079 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, while last season with the Cardinals, he added 333 rushing yards and a touchdown, along with 33 receptions for 267 yards. His addition marks the fifth former Jets player to join the Titans this offseason as they aim to improve from a disappointing record.
