The Vegas Golden Knights have fired head coach Bruce Cassidy, who led the team to a Stanley Cup victory in 2023, and replaced him with John Tortorella. Cassidy’s record with the club was 178-99-43, but the team has struggled recently, winning only once in their last seven games. General manager Kelly McCrimmon cited the need for a change to improve performance as the playoffs approach. Tortorella, a two-time Jack Adams Award winner and Stanley Cup champion, brings significant coaching experience to the team.
