The Athletics have finalized their Opening Day bullpen, optioning righty Jack Perkins to Triple-A while retaining J.T. Ginn and Luis Medina, who lacks minor league options. Medina, recovering from Tommy John surgery, struggled this spring with a 7.36 ERA but offers high velocity and a strong slider. Ginn also had a tough spring but could fill a multi-inning role. The bullpen will feature veterans Scott Barlow and Mark Leiter Jr., alongside other emerging pitchers, in a committee approach to late innings.
