Walsall has confirmed that Darren Byfield will remain as interim head coach for the rest of the season after taking over on 11 March. He has earned four points from his first two matches, including a 3-0 victory against Crewe. The club, currently two points outside the play-off spots, aims to secure a top-seven finish while also seeking a head of football to assist in future recruitment and coaching appointments. Byfield’s tactical changes and player selections have already revitalized the team.
