The Tampa Bay Lightning have assigned center Conor Geekie back to AHL Syracuse, allowing them to activate forward Nick Paul off LTIR prior to their game against Carolina. Paul, who has missed 11 games due to a lower-body injury, has recorded six goals and six assists in 34 games this season. Geekie’s stint with the Lightning ends after five games, and he will return to Syracuse, where he has excelled with 51 points in 47 games. The team now has two players remaining on LTIR: rookie center Dominic James and defenseman Maxwell Crozier.
