After acquiring defensemen Luke Schenn and Logan Stanley, the Buffalo Sabres are poised to welcome Conor Timmins back from injured reserve within 7 to 10 days following a leg fracture. With Timmins’ return, the Sabres will have nine healthy defensemen, creating lineup decisions for head coach Lindy Ruff. Timmins previously played on the second pairing and may rotate with Schenn on the third pairing. In other NHL news, Wyatt Kaiser is out for the Blackhawks with an upper-body injury, while Erik Gudbranson traveled with the Blue Jackets but is uncertain for tonight’s game.
