Quarterback Competition in Atlanta
The Atlanta Falcons have signed Tua Tagovailoa to a one-year, $1.3 million deal, initiating a competition for the starting quarterback position alongside Michael Penix Jr., who is recovering from an ACL injury. General manager Ian Cunningham emphasized the importance of open communication regarding the team’s plans. Penix, the No. 8 overall pick in 2024, has struggled in his appearances, while the Falcons, who have missed the playoffs for eight consecutive seasons, are also bolstering their roster with new offensive players.
