With the AHL’s trade deadline approaching, the Oilers traded center Jayden Grubbe to the Canucks for winger Josh Bloom. Bloom, a former third-round pick, has struggled at the AHL level, spending most of his time in the ECHL this season. Grubbe, also a third-round pick, has played primarily in the ECHL and has yet to see AHL action this season. Both players are ineligible for recall for the remainder of the season due to the timing of the trade.
