Puerto Rico’s national baseball team will gain a significant advantage in the World Baseball Classic as Toronto Blue Jays pitcher José Berríos has been cleared to participate in the next round of the tournament. Manager Yadier Molina confirmed that Berríos is available for the upcoming match against Canada, after previously being left off the roster due to insurance issues. Berríos, who has a solid spring training performance, will be making his fourth WBC appearance. With a victory over Canada, Puerto Rico could secure the top position in Pool A and advance to the quarterfinals.
