Georgia Tech has fired head coach Damon Stoudamire after three seasons, during which the team finished last in the ACC and ended the season on a 12-game losing streak, recording a total of 42 wins and 55 losses. Athletic director Ryan Alpert expressed gratitude for Stoudamire’s commitment to the program and the student-athletes. Greg Gary has been appointed as the interim coach. The school has made only one NCAA tournament appearance since 2010.
