Ali Farokhmanesh officially began his role as the Colorado State men’s basketball coach, sharing his emotional journey from a player who famously hit a game-winning shot against Kansas in the 2010 NCAA Tournament to a first-time head coach. Despite not receiving any college offers after high school, he excelled at junior college before joining Northern Iowa, where he contributed to significant tournament success. Now, with a strong start to his coaching career and the Rams enjoying an eight-game win streak, Farokhmanesh aims to build his legacy beyond his playing days.
