Andrew McCutchen, turning 40 this October, has signed a minor-league contract with the Texas Rangers after a three-season stint with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he struggled to regain past MVP form. Despite batting .242 over those years, he remained a league-average hitter with a .736 OPS. With the Pirates signing new outfielders, McCutchen aims to secure a spot with the Rangers, competing against younger players like Wyatt Langford and Evan Carter. McCutchen, a former MVP, has hit 332 homers throughout his career, which includes time with several MLB teams.
