Lefty relievers Tim Hill and Brent Headrick each had a scoreless inning, with Headrick striking out two. J.C. Escarra, competing for a spot as the third catcher and backup first baseman, hit his second home run of the spring, going 2-for-2 with three RBIs in the Yankees’ 11-1 win over Panama. José Caballero made a notable play for Panama, robbing Jasson Domínguez of a hit with a diving stop. The Yankees’ Luis Gil is set to make his third spring start against the Red Sox on Wednesday.
