Rookie VJ Edgecombe has been sidelined with a lumbar contusion following a fall during the Sixers’ loss to the Spurs, confirmed by an MRI. He will miss the upcoming game against the Jazz and will be re-evaluated before Saturday’s match against the Hawks. Edgecombe, who has averaged 15.3 points and 35.1 minutes per game this season, joins teammates Joel Embiid, Kelly Oubre Jr., Paul George, and Johni Broome on the injury list. The Sixers, currently 33-28, face a Jazz team struggling with a six-game losing streak and missing key players.
