Observations from Yankees spring training on Thursday.
Having a blast
Jazz Chisholm Jr., Paul Goldschmidt, and Spencer Jones each hit home runs in the Yankees’ 7-3 victory over the Braves, marking Chisholm’s first of the spring. Despite giving up a homer in his debut, Camilo Doval struck out two batters to recover. Goldschmidt consistently hit the ball hard, with a homer at 102.4 mph and a single at 108 mph. The Yankees will face the Twins next, with Luis Gil making his second start of spring training.
