In a closely contested Spring Training game, the San Diego Padres fell to the Colorado Rockies 3-2, with Zac Veen hitting a walk-off home run in the ninth inning. Manny Machado and Samad Taylor contributed to the Padres’ scoring, but San Diego’s offense was limited to just four hits. Randy Vasquez had a strong outing, pitching 2.2 scoreless innings with four strikeouts. The Padres will face the Seattle Mariners next at the Peoria Sports Complex.
