— The Yankees have signed veteran outfielder Randal Grichuk to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training. The 34-year-old will compete for a bench role as a right-handed bat, particularly to play left field against left-handed pitchers. Over his 12 MLB seasons, Grichuk has a .268 batting average and .819 OPS against lefties, though his performance dipped last season with a .227 average. In 2024, he excelled with a .319 average and .913 OPS against left-handers while with the Diamondbacks.
