NORTH PORT, Fla. (AP) — In his first spring training start, National League Cy Young Award winner Paul Skenes struggled with four overturned strike calls, leading to four strikeouts and four walks over 2 1/3 innings against the Atlanta Braves. Skenes allowed one hit and one run while facing 12 batters, with 27 of his 53 pitches being strikes. The Braves successfully challenged multiple calls, including three consecutive in the first inning. This outing is expected to be his only one before he joins Team USA for the World Baseball Classic.
