The Seattle Mariners are signing reliever Brendan White, previously with the independent Atlantic League’s Lancaster Stormers, after he was released from a minor league contract with the Tigers in July. The 27-year-old right-hander made 33 MLB appearances for Detroit in 2023, posting a 5.09 ERA. However, he struggled in the following season, dealing with injuries and poor performance, leading to a rough stint with the Stormers. White aims to rebound as he joins a new MLB organization, likely starting the season at Triple-A Tacoma.
