The New York Islanders have acquired forward Matt Luff from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Julien Gauthier. Luff, 28, has played five NHL games this season and has 14 goals and 39 points in 42 AHL games, making him a strong addition for the Bridgeport Islanders. Gauthier, also 28, has struggled with injuries and will get a fresh start with the Blues. This marks the third consecutive season the two teams have traded players.
