The Los Angeles Rams have promoted assistant Nate Scheelhaase to offensive coordinator, replacing Mike LaFleur, who became the Arizona Cardinals’ head coach. Scheelhaase, a former Illinois quarterback and offensive coordinator at Iowa State, has gained recognition in NFL coaching circles, interviewing for multiple head coaching positions recently. Under head coach Sean McVay, the Rams’ offense excelled last season, leading the league in scoring and total yards. Matthew Stafford is set to return for his 18th NFL season as the Rams aim for a Super Bowl berth in 2027.
