The Baltimore Orioles will start the 2026 season without third baseman Jordan Westburg, who is sidelined until at least the end of April due to a partial UCL tear in his right elbow and a right oblique injury. Orioles president Mike Elias expressed concern for Westburg, a dedicated player facing tough luck, but noted that doctors are optimistic about avoiding surgery. Westburg, who had a strong 2024 season and hit 17 home runs last year, will receive a platelet-rich plasma injection. Additionally, second baseman Jackson Holliday will also miss the beginning of the season due to a broken hamate bone.
