During spring training, Cleveland Guardians manager Stephen Vogt will evaluate Steven Kwan in center field, where Kwan, a four-time Gold Glove winner, has expressed interest despite limited major league experience. Rookie Chase DeLauter, who debuted in last season’s AL Wild Card series, may also play in center and right field. Vogt aims to optimize the team’s defensive and offensive capabilities, with George Valera likely in left field. Kwan’s trial in center may not occur for a couple of weeks.
