Following player and NHL feedback, Milan’s Santagiulia Arena is set to replace its dark green banners with lighter ones to improve visibility for players during the Olympic hockey events. The change, prompted by concerns over sightlines for the black puck, will be implemented before the men’s qualification round on Tuesday. After a women’s semifinal, arena staff began removing the existing banners, which were already scheduled for replacement due to wear and tear. U.S. goalie Jeremy Swayman noted difficulties in tracking the puck, but humorously downplayed it as a personal challenge.
