The Detroit Tigers have signed left-hander Konnor Pilkington to a minor league deal, which includes an invitation to MLB Spring Training. The 28-year-old, who made 32 appearances for the Nationals last season, had a 4.45 ERA and a career-best 27.6% strikeout rate. Pilkington, previously a starter with the Guardians, transitioned to a reliever with Washington, increasing his fastball velocity and slider usage. He will compete for a spot in Detroit’s bullpen.
