Carrick Rangers’ manager Stephen Baxter and Glentoran’s striker Pat Hoban have been honored with January’s Northern Ireland Football Writers’ Association awards. Despite a tough 7-0 loss to Glentoran, where Hoban scored six goals, Baxter’s team rebounded with key league victories and secured the County Antrim Shield, their first senior trophy in 33 years. Hoban netted nine goals during the month, earning the Irish Premiership Player of the Month title. H&W Welders’ Ethan Devine also excelled, winning the Championship Player of the Month award with nine goals, including a six-minute hat-trick.
