Eugenio Suarez Returns to Cincinnati Reds
Third baseman Eugenio Suarez, a former All-Star, has rejoined the Cincinnati Reds on a one-year, $15 million contract with a mutual option for 2027. After a successful 2025 season, where he hit 49 homers, including a historic four-home run game, Suarez is expected to bolster the Reds’ lineup as their primary designated hitter. His addition aims to address the team’s lack of power, following a postseason appearance as the final wild card team. With star shortstop Elly De La Cruz and promising infielder Sal Stewart, the Reds are poised to contend in 2026.
