NFL and ESPN deal finalized after government approval

The NFL and ESPN have officially merged, with governmental approval granted just ahead of Super Bowl LX in San Francisco. As part of the deal, the NFL will hold a 10% stake in ESPN while ESPN will take ownership of the NFL Network and acquire rights to the RedZone channel. This merger is expected to enhance NFL programming and integrate NFL employees into ESPN. The agreement suggests potential future equity partnerships between the NFL and other networks.
