Craig Kimbrel has signed a minor league deal with the Mets, including an invitation to big league spring training, as reported by The Post’s Jon Heyman. The 37-year-old pitcher, who ranks fifth all-time with 440 career saves, had a mixed season last year with a 2.25 ERA in 14 MLB appearances and previously closed for the Orioles in 2024. He aims to secure a spot in a revamped Mets bullpen following the loss of All-Star closer Edwin Díaz. Other non-roster invitees joining him for spring training include Carl Edwards Jr. and Nick Burdi.
