The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to hire Mike McCarthy as their next head coach, according to sources. McCarthy, who has been out of the NFL after coaching the Dallas Cowboys from 2020-24 and the Green Bay Packers from 2006-18, will be the team’s fourth head coach since 1969, following Mike Tomlin’s resignation. A Pittsburgh native, McCarthy has previous ties with Steelers GM Omar Khan. The Steelers considered several other candidates before making this decision.
