Arthur Smith is a candidate for the Lions’ offensive coordinator position, with the team requesting an interview, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Smith, who was the Steelers’ offensive coordinator for the past two seasons and head coach of the Falcons from 2021 to 2023, is not in consideration to replace Mike Tomlin in Pittsburgh. Although he has been linked to other head-coaching opportunities, the Lions’ role could be a strong option if those do not materialize. Smith previously spent a decade as an assistant coach with the Titans, including two years as their offensive coordinator.
